Franchise Ranking: Rocky

Rocky Balboa returns to theaters in “Creed” where he mentors the son of Apollo Creed. I haven’t seen it yet, but I’ve heard great things about it. So, I’m going to rank the Rocky films , worst to best!

06.) Rocky V- What was suppose to be the last Rocky film kinda fell short. It’s not as bad as the first time I watched it, it has a lot of good things about it. But, the final fight is sort of lackluster. It’s the Dark Knight Rises of the Rocky films.

05.) Rocky II- It takes place after Rocky and Apollo challenges him to a rematch. Rocky spends all of his cash and decides to accept the challenge. It’s just like they weren’t even trying.  Still entertaining.

04.) Rocky IV- Rocky vs. Ivan Drago. It’s good, but there are too many montages. It’s sad when Apollo dies.

03.) Rocky Balboa- After feeling letdown by Rocky V, Stallone decided to make this. It was neat. I loved the pay-per-view feeling this fight had.

02.) Rocky- The first and most critically acclaimed of the series. It’s a good rags to riches tale.

and #1 is…

01.) Rocky III- The one where Rocky fights Hulk Hogan and Mr. T. It’s probably the most entertaining of the series.I enjoy the dynamic between Apollo and Rocky. I love it!
