Godzilla, King of the Monsters (1956) Review

Directed by Ishiro Honda

Starring Raymond Burr

Synopsis: After an attack in the sea of Japan, the world wonders what caused it. So, America sends journalist Steve Martin (Burr) to report on it. This takes him to far off islands where he finds out about an ancient monster. Then, one night during a storm the monster attacks it’s Godzilla. He makes his way to Tokyo where Martin gives a play by play of the attack.

Review: You’re probably wondering why I’m not reviewing Gojira (1954)? Well, I’m not that huge on that one. Its a strong movie and all, but I grew up watching KOTM. It’s nothing but added scenes of Burr reacting to nothing (much like youtube reviewers do now) This is a strong film as well. They did a very good job at blending the scenes from the 54 movie.
